Greek pharmaceutical industry showcases growth at CPHI Milan

Thirty-one member companies of the Hellenic Association of Pharmaceutical Companies participated in CPHI 2026, the world’s largest pharmaceutical industry exhibition, held in Milan from October 6–8. The presence of these Greek firms highlights the sector's international competitiveness and export capabilities, with products currently reaching markets in over 147 countries.

The Greek pharmaceutical industry is currently implementing one of the nation’s largest investment programs, totaling over €1.8 billion. This funding is directed toward enhancing production, research and development (R&D), and technological infrastructure. The sector currently operates 51 factories and 31 R&D centers, providing products that serve approximately 8 million individuals.

Theodoros Tryfon, President of the Hellenic Association of Pharmaceutical Companies, stated that the industry’s manufacturing strength is a strategic national asset. He noted that the significant investments contribute to the country’s economic growth, high-skilled job creation, and the security of the pharmaceutical supply chain for both Greece and Europe.
