CPHI Milan 2026 pharmaceutical conference
Overview
The CPHI Milan 2026 conference, held at Fiera Milano from October 6 to 8, serves as a major international gathering for the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. The event is expected to host over 62,000 visitors and 2,400 exhibitors from more than 166 countries.
A key feature of this edition is the inaugural CPHI Sustainability Summit, a two-day program involving over 300 companies. The summit focuses on practical implementation of sustainability, including decarbonizing manufacturing, green chemistry, sustainable packaging, and procurement. Supported by organizations such as AstraZeneca, SK Pharmteco, and Sharp, the summit aims to transition sustainability from corporate commitments to actionable industry practices.
Various industry participants are utilizing the event to showcase specialized services and technologies. West Pharmaceutical Services is presenting its self-injection systems portfolio, while Divasa-Farmavic is also maintaining a presence. Several companies are leveraging the exhibition to expand their Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) and Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) footprints, including Yuhan Corporation and ST Pharm.
During the event, the Greek pharmaceutical industry demonstrated its international competitiveness through the participation of 31 member companies from the Hellenic Association of Pharmaceutical Companies. Theodoros Tryfon, President of the Hellenic Association of Pharmaceutical Companies, stated that the industry’s manufacturing strength is a “strategic national asset,” noting that significant investments contribute to economic growth and the security of the pharmaceutical supply chain for Greece and Europe. The Greek sector is currently implementing an investment program exceeding €1.8 billion to enhance production, R&D, and technological infrastructure.
