Greek police chases injure driver and seize 61 kg of cannabis

In Argos, a 20‑year‑old driver who attempted to flee a police stop and fired at officers was shot by police and taken to hospital. Two police officers were arrested for weapons violations and an air‑gun was confiscated for forensic analysis.

In Agia Paraskevi, a Mini Cooper driven by an unknown individual and carrying a 30‑year‑old Azerbaijani passenger was pursued after ignoring a stop command. The vehicle crashed, the driver escaped on foot, and police seized 49 packages containing a total of 61 kg of raw cannabis. The passenger was arrested and transferred to the local crime investigation unit.
