Greek police detain foreign nationals in Rhodes and Kos

On July 28, 2026, police in the Dodecanese island of Kos arrested a 24‑year‑old foreign national after discovering a small amount of cannabis in his possession. The arrest was carried out by the Crime Investigation Unit of the Kos Police Department.

The following day, police on the neighboring island of Rhodes apprehended a 51‑year‑old foreigner who was the subject of an Interpol red notice issued by Russia. He is accused of participating in large‑scale fraud as part of an organized criminal group. The suspect will be transferred to the Prosecutor's Office of the Dodecanese Islands for further proceedings.
