Thessaloniki police bust nets eight drug suspects in Dentropotamos
Greek police arrested eight people in Thessaloniki’s Dentropotamos district on 23‑24 July 2026 after a coordinated operation by the Drug Intervention Unit, the Special Intervention Department and a police canine. The suspects, aged 24‑54, were linked to the purchase and distribution of small quantities of narcotics.
Authorities seized about 1.57 kg of raw cannabis, processed “cannabis chocolate,” 20.65 g of cocaine, 3.6 g of MDMA, two syringes containing an unknown substance, €1,905 in cash, seven mobile phones, two precision scales and five hidden surveillance cameras that had been recording nearby streets. A 54‑year‑old woman is also being sought. One 34‑year‑old detainee has two pending court decisions from prior drug‑trafficking convictions. The suspects have been forwarded to the criminal prosecutor for further proceedings.
