Greek police seize cocaine, cannabis and cash in two drug trafficking arrests
In Heraklion, the regional drug‑enforcement unit arrested three Greek men aged 24, 24 and 30 after intercepting a crew member of a passenger‑vehicle ferry from Piraeus who was carrying eight nylon packets containing 4.5 g of raw cannabis. Searches of the suspects’ homes uncovered additional drugs – 2 g of cocaine and 12 g of cannabis – along with firearms, knives, a precision scale, and €3,240 in cash. The 30‑year‑old accomplice also possessed two more cannabis packages (14 g and 4 g).
In Zakynthos, police arrested a 30‑year‑old Greek seasonal worker in Laganas, seizing 43.75 g of cocaine, 38.78 g of cannabis, a precision scale, nylon packaging, €11,150 in cash, 340 L of Scotch whisky and 10 L of English whisky. This was the third drug‑trafficking arrest in the area within four days.
