Greek police seize cocaine, cannabis, weapons on Aitoloakarnania road

On June 30, 2026, police from the Aitoloakarnania Police Department and the Crime Investigation and Prosecution Department of Messolonghi stopped a vehicle on the provincial road between Aitoloakarnania and Neochoiri. During the inspection they seized 29.3 g of cannabis, 3.55 g of cocaine, 0.4 g of an unidentified drug, a folding knife, €1,540 in cash, two mobile phones and a bank card.

A follow‑up raid at a storage site owned by the suspect in Messolonghi uncovered a barrel hidden with an additional 600 g of cannabis. The searches were aided by the police detection dog “Sporty”. The 55‑year‑old man will be presented to the public prosecutor of Aitoloakarnania (Messolonghi branch).
