Mykonos drug trafficking ring busted, €700,000 in illegal profits seized

Greek police’s organised‑crime unit dismantled a drug‑trafficking network operating on Mykonos and in parts of Attica. Five men and a 31‑year‑old woman were arrested after raids on houses and warehouses in Mykonos, Piraeus and Perama.

Authorities seized more than two kilograms of cocaine, 705 g of pink cocaine (TUCI), 754 g of MDMA, over one kilogram of unprocessed cannabis, eight grams of processed cannabis, 846 ecstasy tablets, 205 g of ketamine, hallucinogenic mushrooms and assorted counterfeit‑drug cards. The operation also confiscated four vans, motorcycles, electronic scales, mobile phones and cash totaling €94,575 and $11,500.

Investigators estimated the ring’s illegal earnings at over €700,000. The hierarchy was led by a 37‑year‑old Albanian, with sub‑leaders aged 38 and 39 overseeing storage, distribution and finances. The group used a tourist‑transport van service as a front to reach customers on the island. Prices listed by the police ranged from €120‑200 per gram for cocaine to €20 per gram for cannabis and €5‑20 for other items.
