Greek police seize over 8,600 cannabis plants in Lamia and Fthiotida raids

Greek police from the Kalamata Narcotics Brigade dismantled a massive cannabis plantation outside Lamia, discovering more than 4,000 cannabis plants in a remote, mountainous area. The operation led to the arrest of three Albanian nationals, who were taken to the Kammeni Vourlo police station.

In a separate raid in the forested region of Fthiotida, authorities uncovered a specially prepared 25‑hectare cultivation site near the Kallidromio area with over 4,600 cannabis plants. Three suspects—a 50‑year‑old, a 33‑year‑old and a 38‑year‑old—were apprehended. Police also seized makeshift drying rooms, living equipment, water tanks, a solar panel, a pistol, ammunition, and other items. The drug ring’s projected profit from the harvest is estimated at more than €9 million.
