Greek Primary Schools Conclude Academic Year in Magnesia
The school year for Greek kindergartens and primary schools ended on Monday, with the Ministry of Education confirming the final date for junior high exam results as Thursday, 18 June 2026. In the Magnesia region, roughly 12,000 primary pupils attended farewell ceremonies where teachers presented certificates and performance reports. Schools will stay open for administrative matters and teachers' meetings until Friday, 19 June.
The day also marked the conclusion of national examinations for EPAL candidates, covering specialist subjects such as refrigeration‑air‑conditioning, aircraft engines, and central heating design. Health examinations and practical tests for prospective sport‑science students will run from 16 June to 25 June, beginning with English.
Local officials highlighted a productive year, noting innovative programmes, inclusion classes, and a successful swimming initiative involving special‑needs schools, all carried out with cooperation from the Ministry of Education.
