Greek Public Employment Service launches €1,250 monthly grant for unemployed graduates
The Greek Public Employment Service (ΔΥΠΑ) opened applications on 27 July for a special employment programme that offers a monthly allowance of up to €1,250 to unemployed university and technological institute graduates aged 25‑54. Applicants must be registered in the Digital Unemployment Registry, have a completed Digital Action Plan and meet criteria such as length of unemployment, number of minor children, disability status, work experience and education level. The application window closes on 18 August 2026 at 23:59.
At the same time, unions have highlighted that hundreds of participants in ΔΥΠΑ’s “30 & Above” pre‑employment scheme remain unpaid and lack social‑insurance coverage. The workers demand immediate payment of wages and full employment rights, criticizing the programme for operating without contracts or benefits.
