Greek Employment Service launches €3.75 m book‑voucher scheme for 150,000 workers
From 14:00 UTC on 9 July 2026 the Greek Public Employment Service (ΔΥΠΑ) opened online applications for its 2026 Book‑Voucher Programme. The scheme will issue 150 000 electronic vouchers worth €25 each (including VAT), funded with a €3.75 million budget, and will be redeemable between 1 September and 31 December 2026.
Eligible beneficiaries are employees on private‑law contracts, insured persons in the e‑EFKA system, and unemployed persons registered with ΔΥΠΑ who have been continuously unemployed for at least three months. Income ceilings apply: up to €16 000 for singles, €24 000 for married persons and €29 000 for single‑parent households, with an additional €5 000 per child. For the first time, families with three or more children may apply without points‑based ranking. Voucher holders can purchase books at a 10 % discount from any authorised retailer or publisher listed in the provider registry.
Applications must be submitted exclusively through the gov.gr portal by 23:59 UTC on 15 July 2026. Applicants authenticate via the AADE system using TAXISnet credentials and their AMKA number. Bookstores and publishing houses that hold a valid operating licence can register as providers through the same digital gateway.
