Greek Public Employment Service launches €3.75 m book‑voucher programme

The Public Employment Service (ΔΥΠΑ) has opened applications for a 2026 book‑voucher scheme. A total of 150,000 vouchers, each worth €25 (including VAT), will be issued, representing a €3.75 million budget. Applications are accepted online via gov.gr from 9 July until 15 July 2026 23:59.

Eligible beneficiaries are private‑sector employees covered by e‑EFKA, unemployed persons registered in the Digital Registry of Job Seekers with at least three months of continuous unemployment, and families meeting income thresholds (€16,000 for singles, €24,000 for couples, €29,000 for single‑parent families, with €5,000 added per child). For the first time, third‑ and higher‑order children of large families may apply without point‑based ranking. Vouchers are electronic codes that give a 10 % discount on any book purchased from participating bookstores and publishers in the provider registry.

The programme will run from 1 September to 31 December 2026. Bookstores and publishing houses must register as providers through the same digital portal, updating their credentials if they participated in the previous year.
