Greek Public Employment Service rolls out updated training programmes for high‑demand sectors

The Public Employment Service of Greece (ΔΥΠΑ) has completed a project to modernise its vocational training system. Existing curricula were revised and new study guides were produced for specialties experiencing strong labour‑market demand, while programmes for the Schools for People with Disabilities (Σχολές ΑμεΑ) were also updated.

A new specialty – floral design (Ανθοδετική) – has been added. The design of the curricula relied on labour‑market research reports and a partners‑opinions survey, ensuring that the content matches current business needs.

The updated programmes span a wide range of sectors, including technology and IT, tourism and hospitality, agriculture and environment, technical trades, construction and energy, health, safety and welfare, business administration, economics, trade and logistics, as well as beauty and fashion services. They aim to boost learning outcomes by introducing horizontal employability skills, knowledge‑evaluation procedures, differentiated teaching methods and modern educational techniques, with a focus on greater inclusion.
