Greek rescuers save two teen siblings from drowning at Spianza beach

Lifeguard George Nikolopoulos and EKAB rescuer Christos Koulis entered the sea at Spianza beach in Ilia, Greece, when a strong current pulled two brothers, aged 13 and 15, toward deeper water. The two rescuers fought the waves, reached the children and brought them safely back to shore.

The siblings were taken to the Hospital of Pyrgos for a precautionary medical check and were reported to be in good condition. Their rescue was highlighted as an example of quick, selfless action by local emergency personnel.
