Greek Stock Market Index Slightly Falls Amid Mixed Trading

The Athens Stock Exchange's General Price Index opened at 2,636.27 points, up 0.29%, with a trading value of €35.39 million. Leading gainers included Public Power Corporation (DEI) (+1.96%), Viohalco (+1.18%) and Lamda Development (+0.86%). The biggest losers were Cyprus (-1.19%), Optima Bank (-1.02%) and Ethniki (-0.82%).

By the close, the index slipped to 2,623.91 points, a decline of 0.18%, on a total turnover of €315.71 million and 42.1 million shares traded. High‑cap stocks fell 0.30% while mid‑cap stocks rose 0.90%. Top performers were Coca‑Cola HBC (+2.81%), GEK TERNA (+2.55%) and Aegean Airlines (+2.21%). Largest declines were seen in Cyprus (-2.75%), OTE (-2.36%) and Titan (-1.95%). Alpha Bank and Eurobank led in volume, while Piraeus Bank recorded the highest transaction value at €51.83 million. Ilida posted the strongest single‑day gain at +8.61%.
