Greek Student Housing Allowance Deadline Ends July 31, 2026

The deadline for submitting applications for the Student Housing Allowance for the 2025‑2026 academic year expires today, Friday 31 July 2026. Applications must be filed electronically through the Ministry of Education’s stegastiko.minedu.gov.gr portal using the applicant’s TAXISnet credentials; no new requests will be accepted after the cut‑off.

The programme, overseen by Education Minister Sofia Zacharaki, has seen its budget rise by 115 % since 2019, reaching €90 million for 2026. Eligible students can receive up to €2 500, depending on family income and housing circumstances. The increased funding also supports a parallel construction plan that will add 8 600 new student‑housing beds across Greece, expanding capacity at universities from Crete to Thrace.
