Greek summer 2026 theater season launches productions in Thessaloniki and Epidaurus

The Teatro del Nuevo Mundo’s production “Mia Alli Thiva” returns for a short open‑air run in Thessaloniki on 27–28 July 2026, featuring director Vangelis Theodoropoulos and actors Thanasis Lekkas and Dimitris Kapouranis. The play, written by French‑Uruguayan Sergio Blanko, explores themes of masculine identity, oppression and artistic creation.

At the same time, the Athens‑Epidaurus Festival will stage a new staging of Aristophanes’ “Eirini” on 24–25 July 2026 at the ancient theatre of Epidaurus. The adaptation, created by Nikos Karathanasis, Foivos Delivorias and Angelos Triantafyllou, presents a satirical view of war and the struggle for peace, with a cast that includes Galini Chatzipaschali, Thanasis Aleuras and Nikos Karathanasis himself. Tickets start at €16.
