Greek Summer Sales 2026 Begin July 13, First Sunday Open

Greek law sets the 2026 summer sales to start on the second Monday of July, 13 July, and run through Monday 31 August. Retailers may also open on the first Sunday of the period, 19 July, with suggested hours of 11:00‑18:00.

Consumers must see clear signage that discounts are in effect. Stores are required to display both the original (usually crossed‑out) and the reduced price of each item; indicating a discount percentage is optional. The regulations also stress that sales—discounts on current‑season goods—must be distinguished from special offers on older stock, and retailers must provide warranty information, return policies and receipts in Greek.
