Greek theatre announces new productions in Athens and Kozani

New theatrical productions are launching in Greece, featuring both classic adaptations and immersive local experiences.

The Athens Broadway Theatre, located in the former Broadway cinema at Stoa Lali, will host a new production of Agatha Christie’s ‘Murder on the Nile’ starting December 4, 2026. Directed by Konstantinos Markoulakis and based on Ken Ludwig’s adaptation, the play features Hieroklis Michailidis as Hercule Poirot. The production aims to establish the venue as a high-standard modern theatrical destination in Athens.

In Kozani, the Experimental Stage of DIPETHE is introducing ‘Imaginary Walk,’ an immersive performance starting September 26. The production begins at the Vambaka Mansion, where audiences split into groups to walk through the city center before returning to the mansion for a building projection. The play utilizes biographical stories gathered from local residents and summer workshops to connect the theatre directly with the community.
