Greek theatre sees return of ‘Tuesdays with Morrie’ and Pina Bausch’s ‘Kontakthof’

Several notable theatrical and dance productions are returning to the stage in Greece. The play ‘Tuesdays with Morrie’, based on the global bestseller by Mitch Albom, is returning to the Iliasios Theatre. The production features Grigoris Valtinos as Morrie Schwartz and Giannis Sarakatsanis as Mitch Albom, exploring themes of friendship, loss, and human connection.

Additionally, the National Theatre of Greece, in collaboration with the Pina Bausch Foundation, is staging a revival of the iconic dance piece ‘Kontakthof’ at the Tsiller Building. Directed by Josephine Ann Endicott and Daphne Kokkinou, the production features 22 Greek performers. This revival marks a significant return of Pina Bausch’s landmark work, which originally premiered in 1978.
