Greece's DEDDIE Schedules Power Outages in Attica and Crete

The Public Power Corporation (DEDDIE) announced scheduled electricity interruptions for two regions in Greece. On Thursday 11 June 2026, multiple districts of the Attica region, including Kallithea, Chaidari, and other suburbs of Athens, will experience outages beginning at 08:00 and lasting until mid‑day or early afternoon, depending on the specific area.

A day earlier, on Wednesday 10 June 2026, DEDDIE will cut power in several municipalities of Crete’s regional units of Heraklion, Chania and Rethymno. Work will start early in the morning, with restoration expected between 08:00 and 15:00. Residents have been warned not to use elevators and to unplug sensitive electrical equipment during the interruptions for safety reasons.
