Green SM Limo opens electric taxi service in New Delhi

Green SM, the VinFast‑backed mobility platform, launched its fully electric ride‑hailing service, Green SM Limo, in New Delhi on 5 June 2026. The launch marks the company’s entry into India, its fifth overseas market after Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia and the Philippines. The service uses the VinFast Limo Green, a seven‑seat electric SUV equipped with interior and exterior cameras, AI‑driven safety systems and emergency buttons.

The inauguration was attended by Haryana’s Minister for Industries & Commerce, Shri Rao Narbir Singh, officials from India’s air‑quality commission, the Vietnamese embassy and local partners. Green SM Limo will initially operate in key zones of the Delhi National Capital Region, with plans to expand gradually. To promote the service, a 50 % discount – up to INR 250 per ride – is offered for bookings made through the Green SM app between 5 and 11 June.

Company CEO Nguyen Van Thanh highlighted India’s scale and innovation as key to the firm’s growth, stressing job creation for local drivers and a commitment to sustainable, high‑quality mobility.
