Green SM launches fully electric taxi service in Delhi NCR

On 5 June 2026, Green SM – a Vietnam‑based electric‑mobility firm backed by Vingroup – officially launched its Green SM Limo service in Delhi NCR, marking the company’s entry into its fifth international market after Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia and the Philippines. The service uses a fleet of VinFast Limo Green seven‑seat electric SUVs, each equipped with a 60.13 kWh battery offering a 517 km range, interior and exterior cameras, AI‑driven monitoring and an emergency‑button safety system called Secure‑to‑Safe.

The launch ceremony was attended by Indian officials including Shri Rao Narbir Singh and Dr Virinder Sharma, as well as representatives of the Vietnamese embassy and local partners. Green SM offered a promotional discount of 50 % (capped at INR 250) for rides booked through its app during the first week. The initial rollout covers key areas of the Delhi National Capital Region, with plans to expand to other cities such as Mumbai and Bengaluru and to grow the fleet from 1,000 vehicles to 10,000 within a year. Five Indian partners joined the Green Alliance Frontier platform to support the service’s sustainable‑mobility goals.
