Greenland Energy continues oil project preparations in Jameson Land
Despite previous indications that its oil exploration plans were on hold, Greenland Energy is continuing field activities in Jameson Land, East Greenland. Geologists have been documented collecting soil and water samples in the remote tundra area north of Scoresby Sund.
These investigations are intended to support an upcoming environmental impact assessment for the controversial resource project. The activities, which have been ongoing since early August, come shortly after Greenlandic authorities rejected the company's plan to conduct exploratory drilling in the region earlier this year.
