Greenvolt secures €284 million for Romanian wind project

Greenvolt Group, through its subsidiary Greenvolt Power, has secured €284 million in project financing for a 253.1 MW wind farm located in Gurbănești, east of Bucharest, Romania. The project is expected to become commercially operational by the end of 2027.

The wind farm will consist of 42 turbines, each with a capacity of 6.1 MW, and aims to support the decarbonization of Romania’s electricity system. This development is part of the broader 506 MW Wind Rose platform.

The financing was provided by a consortium of eight financial institutions, including UniCredit S.p.A., Erste Group Bank AG, Banca Comercială Română S.A., Siemens Financial Services via Siemens Bank, Société Générale, BRD, ING Bank N.V., and Alpha Bank S.A.
