Grenoble businesses targeted in series of suspected arson attacks

A series of suspicious fires has targeted various businesses in Grenoble over the past year. The most recent incident occurred on the night of October 9-10, when a violent fire destroyed Le Seven, a restaurant on Boulevard de l’Esplanade. Investigators are treating the case as criminal following evidence of a broken door.

This event follows a long list of similar incidents in the region, including fires at the Le Marquee nightclub, Chez Haje butchery, and the former Phouket establishment. Other targeted locations include the SOS Apéro bar, the Chardon Bleu boutique, and several hair salons and brasseries. In one instance, a flaming vehicle was used to attack the Chardon Bleu storefront.
