Grosseto and Galliate launch new disability inclusion projects
The municipality of Grosseto hosted a round‑table called “Laboratorio dei Talenti” to gather third‑sector organisations, volunteers and businesses in order to shift from an assistive view of disability toward a model focused on talents, training, social inclusion and employment opportunities. The initiative, promoted by Social Affairs Assessor Carla Minacci and supported by Mayor Antonfrancesco Vivarelli Colonna, aims to create a permanent working table for projects such as professional workshops, sports, arts, and job placements for people with disabilities.
In Galliate, the inter‑municipal consortium Ovest Ticino organised a health‑prevention project for the oral cavity of people with disabilities. The program, carried out at the local Centre STH, provided dental examinations for eight participants and will continue with a follow‑up session in September. It is part of the broader “Aging Project” of the University of Eastern Piedmont, targeting improved quality of life for seniors and disabled residents through preventive health care.
