Grosseto Council Clarifies Mediation Process for Roselle Sports Center

The municipality of Grosseto confirmed that no sanction, no renewal of the previous concession, and no intrusion on council competencies will occur regarding the Roselle sports centre. The administration emphasized that the recent council resolution only sets the public‑interest guidelines for a mediation procedure already transferred from the local tribunal.

The proposed addendum would adjust financial terms, requiring the concessionaire to pay a monthly amount covering the municipal loan for the facility, provide an annual bank guarantee equal to twelve months of payments, submit a new economic‑financial plan and waive any compensation claims. The council stressed the distinction between political direction and administrative management, stating the agreement would not constitute a retroactive sanction of the former concession.
