Grosseto Probe into Fake Guarantee Tied to Roselle Sports Center Agreement

The Guardia di Finanza has opened an investigation into a falsified guarantee presented as part of the agreement to build a sports centre in Roselle. The municipality of Grosseto filed a fraud complaint after discovering that the document supplied by a private company contained numerous inconsistencies, including mismatched corporate references and material errors. The local football club US Grosseto also lodged a complaint, claiming it was deceived by a broker that provided the forged guarantee and asserting that it is a victim in the case. Investigators will determine who actually prepared the document, how it reached the municipality, and whether the club was involved in the falsification. The criminal inquiry will be handled by the public prosecutor, while the administrative validity of the original agreement is now in question.
