Grupo Bepensa inaugurates new plant in Valladolid
Grupo Bepensa and the Industria Mexicana de Coca-Cola (IMCC) have inaugurated the Planta Centenario Valladolid in Yucatán, Mexico. The project involved an investment exceeding 1,200 million pesos.
The new facility, which covers more than 130,000 square meters, is designed to increase Bepensa’s production capacity for 100% returnable carbonated beverages by 30%. This expansion is expected to meet approximately 25% of the current demand in the Yucatán Peninsula. The plant features a fully automated production line capable of exceeding 30,000 bottles per hour, utilizing Industry 4.0 standards and real-time digital monitoring systems.
The inauguration coincides with the 80th anniversary of Grupo Bepensa and the 100th anniversary of Coca-Cola in Mexico. This project is part of a larger $6 billion investment commitment announced this year by the IMCC to strengthen manufacturing, distribution, and commercialization capabilities across the country. The opening is also expected to generate more than 200 direct jobs.
