Grupo Globo launches audit into Luciano Huck’s ties with Daniel Vorcaro

Grupo Globo has authorized an internal audit to investigate the commercial relationship between television presenter Luciano Huck and banker Daniel Vorcaro. Vorcaro, a former controller of Banco Master, was arrested as part of ongoing investigations involving the bank.

The audit, authorized by the Grupo Globo board, is expected to take approximately 30 days. It will examine commercial contracts, communications, and business dealings between the two parties. The decision follows the discovery of messages on Vorcaro’s phone by the Federal Police, which revealed frequent contact since 2023 regarding meetings, travel, and commercial negotiations. Some messages reportedly mentioned R$ 83 million in media values for Globo and a R$ 26 million personal contract for Huck.

Luciano Huck’s defense has denied any business partnership with Vorcaro. They stated that the relationship was strictly limited to the management and acquisition of sponsorship for Will Bank for the program ‘Domingão com Huck’. The defense maintains that all agreements were formalized through legal contracts, invoices, and tax payments, and that these contracts were concluded before central bank intervention in Will Bank.
