Grupo Globo audit of Luciano Huck and Daniel Vorcaro

Overview

Grupo Globo has initiated an internal audit to investigate the commercial and professional relationship between television presenter Luciano Huck and banker Daniel Vorcaro. The investigation, authorized by the Grupo Globo board and expected to last approximately 30 days, follows the discovery of messages on Vorcaro’s phone by Federal Police. These messages reportedly revealed frequent contact since 2023 regarding travel, business meetings, and commercial negotiations, including discussions of R$ 83 million in media values for Globo and a R$ 26 million personal contract for Huck.

Vorcaro, a former controller of Banco Master, was arrested as part of ongoing investigations involving the bank. In response to the scrutiny, Globo has expanded its inquiry to include remote interviews with various presenters, anchors, and journalists to map potential links to Vorcaro.

Luciano Huck has denied any business partnership or co-ownership with Vorcaro. His defense maintains that their interactions were strictly limited to managing Will Bank’s sponsorship of his program, ‘Domingão com Huck’, and that all agreements were formalized through legal contracts, invoices, and tax payments.
