Grupo Lence partners with Xunta de Galicia for Xacobeo 2027

Grupo Lence, the largest dairy company in Galicia, has signed a collaboration agreement with the Xunta de Galicia to promote and disseminate the Xacobeo 2027 Holy Year. The partnership aims to consolidate the event as an international reference and strengthen Galicia's position as a premier cultural and tourist destination.

Carmen Lence, president of Grupo Lence, emphasized that the Camino de Santiago serves as a vital economic engine for the region, benefiting hotels, restaurants, and local businesses by introducing visitors to Galician gastronomy and heritage. Marcos Gómez Román, commissioner of Xacobeo 2027, noted that such public-private collaborations are strategic for increasing the reach and participation of the celebration.

The agreement will remain in effect until June 2028. This partnership follows similar commitments from other major regional companies, such as Hijos de Rivera (Estrella Galicia), as part of a broader strategy to make the upcoming Holy Year a global milestone.
