Grupo Nutresa acquires Colombian restaurant chain Presto

Grupo Nutresa, controlled by businessman Jaime Gilinski, has signed an agreement to acquire the Colombian fast-food chain Presto. The acquisition includes the brand and its productive unit, comprising points of sale, a production plant, and production centers.

The deal follows the judicial liquidation of Franquicias y Concesiones S.A.S. (Frayco), the operator of Presto, which entered liquidation on October 13, 2026, after failing to reorganize its debts. The transaction will be executed through Nutresa's subsidiary, IRCC S.A.S., which also manages brands such as El Corral, El Corral Gourmet, and Mimo’s.

Presto is intended to operate as an independent brand within Nutresa’s consumer food portfolio, maintaining its own commercial identity. The acquisition is expected to preserve 100% of the company's workforce, totaling approximately 700 jobs. While the specific transaction amount has not been publicly disclosed, the move expands Nutresa's presence in the Colombian hamburger and prepared foods market.
