Grupo Salinas reports over 319 billion pesos in tax payments

Grupo Salinas has released documentation to demonstrate its tax compliance in Mexico, reporting total tax payments exceeding 319 billion pesos since 2005. To address public scrutiny and digital allegations of tax evasion, the conglomerate has launched a public microsite where users can consult official tax receipts and payment vouchers.

The group’s various divisions have reported significant contributions to the public treasury. TV Azteca has reportedly settled all outstanding liabilities through payments exceeding 4 billion pesos. Meanwhile, the commercial and financial divisions, including Elektra and Banco Azteca, have reported accumulated payments of more than 13.6 billion pesos under established tax schemes. The conglomerate stated that previous legal disputes stemmed from technical disagreements regarding double taxation, which were formally resolved earlier this year.
