Grupo Ultra expands multi-activity fitness model in Brazil

Grupo Ultra is expanding its multi-activity business model, recently implementing it in one of its Brasília units operated by franchisee Cristiane Lopes. This model integrates bodybuilding with other disciplines such as swimming and pilates under a single roof to meet diverse training goals in one location.

Founded in 2021 with a 'high value low cost' concept, Grupo Ultra manages an ecosystem that includes Ultra gyms and specialized studios like The Flame, Spider Kick, and Cycle. The company currently operates over 100 units across 16 Brazilian states, serving more than 300,000 students.

The shift toward multi-activity centers aligns with broader trends in the Brazilian fitness market, which is the second largest in the world. Data from 2024 indicates that functional training is present in 74% of establishments, while bodybuilding is found in 68%.
