GS Yuasa launches AGM battery for heavy trucks at Automechanika Frankfurt 2026

GS Yuasa showcased its latest automotive‑aftermarket portfolio at the Automechanika trade fair in Frankfurt (8‑12 September 2026). The highlight was the YBX9625, the company’s first AGM battery designed for heavy‑duty trucks, offering higher cycle durability and rapid charging. Visitors could also test the Yu‑Fit+ battery configurator, online battery‑search tools and view professional battery testers and smart charging equipment.

Erik Rothe, Group Sales Manager of GS Yuasa Battery Germany, said the exhibit demonstrated a “holistic concept for the automotive aftermarket: OE quality, broad vehicle coverage, digital workshop support and one‑stop personal advice.” The German subsidiary, based in Krefeld and serving 15 European markets, is part of the Japanese GS Yuasa Corporation, which produces lead‑acid and lithium‑ion batteries worldwide, including lithium‑ion cells from plants in Hungary and, from 2027, Japan. The company positions the new battery and digital services as part of its contribution to a carbon‑neutral future for e‑mobility.
