GT World Challenge Europe schedule adjusted to avoid clash with WEC
The GT World Challenge Europe finale at Portimao has been moved to October 16‑17, with qualifying on the 16th and the race on the 17th, to prevent a date conflict with the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) finale now set for Barcelona. The change, announced by SRO Motorsports Group president Stéphane Ratel, allows teams to travel between Portugal and Spain without having to choose between the two championships.
On August 1, the series will broadcast the first Sprint Cup race of the GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS from the Magny‑Cours circuit in France. Live video coverage will begin at 20:35, with the race start scheduled for 21:05, offering fans real‑time access to the event.
