GTD PRO championship standings remain tight after VIR race

In the Michelin GT Challenge at Virginia International Raceway, Paul Miller Racing and Corvette Racing maintained their positions in the GTD PRO championship standings. Paul Miller Racing’s No. 1 BMW M4 GT3 EVO, driven by Neil Verhagen and Connor De Phillippi, secured a fifth-place finish, allowing the team to remain at the top of the GTD PRO championship.

Corvette Racing’s No. 4 Corvette Z06 GT3, driven by Tommy Milner and Nicky Catsburg, finished sixth. Despite a slow pit stop caused by a door latching issue and subsequent fuel management challenges, the result keeps the duo second in the GTD PRO Drivers Championship. Chevrolet also retained its lead in the Manufacturers standings.

The race featured a significant first-lap crash involving the No. 3 Corvette, which triggered a Full Course Yellow. Driver Alexander Sims was treated and released following the incident. In the GT class, the No. 13 Autosport Corvette finished sixth, while the No. 36 DXDT Racing Corvette placed eighth.
