GU-Türkischer SV Pforzheim enters insolvency proceedings

The Pforzheim district court has officially opened insolvency proceedings for the football club GU-Türkischer SV Pforzheim. The club faces significant tax debts, estimated by some reports to be around 200,000 euros, following a failure by previous officials to submit tax returns.

To facilitate the proceedings, an insolvency administrator required 11,000 euros, which was secured through member fees, donations, and transfer fees from players moving to other clubs. The club's lawyer, Özgür Dobruca, described the opening of the proceedings as a positive opportunity to restructure and save the club. The process is expected to last between one and two years.
