Guachupita sports facility renovated with RD$28 million investment

Vice President Raquel Peña and Sports Minister Kelvin Cruz have inaugurated the renovated multi-purpose facility at Club Los Gladiadores in the Guachupita sector of Santo Domingo. The project involved an investment of over RD$28.2 million.

The renovation covered approximately 1,300 square meters, including improvements to the playing area, bleachers, bathrooms, locker rooms, and exterior areas. The facility is intended to support various sports disciplines and community activities for local residents.

This project is part of a broader program by the Ministry of Sports and Recreation (Miderec) to renovate sports facilities in clubs throughout Greater Santo Domingo, under the mandate of President Luis Abinader. Minister Cruz noted that this marks the 64th completed work under his administration's leadership.
