Guadalajara and AICM report passenger traffic growth

Major Mexican airports reported significant passenger traffic growth in August. The Guadalajara International Airport, managed by Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico (GAP), led the recovery with a 10.5% increase in passengers compared to August 2025, driven largely by a 13.3% rise in international travelers.

The Mexico City International Airport (AICM) also saw improvements, handling 4.07 million passengers, a 3.5% increase year-over-year. This growth was primarily fueled by international travel, which rose by 5.1%, while domestic travel increased by 2.4%.

Collectively, the four most relevant airports in the country—Guadalajara, AICM, Monterrey, and Cancún—moved more than 9.4 million travelers during the month, including 3.6 million international passengers.
