Guadalajara PP demands urgent meeting over waste service failures

The Popular Party (PP) in the Provincial Council of Guadalajara has denounced the “unsustainable” state of the provincial waste collection and transport service. Spokesperson Román García reported that over one hundred municipalities are experiencing “serious breaches” of service since the start of summer.

García stated that the current situation is chaotic, particularly as many towns are holding patron saint festivals. He noted that the contractual frequencies for waste collection, which are supposed to increase during the summer months, are not being met across the province. The PP has formally requested an urgent meeting of the Service Monitoring Board to find a solution before the summer season ends.
