Guadeloupe drug trafficking uncovered after traffic stop; Dakar counterfeiting crackdown yields arrests

A routine roadside check by gendarmes in Capesterre-Belle-Eau, Guadeloupe, led to the discovery of a drug trafficking operation. Separately, in Dakar, the urban security unit of the central police dismantled a group involved in producing and distributing counterfeit currency; several suspects were arrested after illicit banknotes were found in their possession, following a tip-off that prompted the operation.
