Gualeguaychú race set for Sept. 5 with more than 800 participants

Municipal officials in Gualeguaychú, Argentina, finalized logistics for the annual "Gualeguaychú Corre" race slated for 5 September. The event will host over 800 athletes across four distances – 10 km, 5 km, a 2.5 km Mini Marathon, and a Family Run – on a circuit that combines urban streets and natural paths.

Secretary of Human Development Juan Ignacio Olano emphasized that the race promotes healthy habits, community interaction and strengthens ties between citizens and the state. Coordinating bodies included the Subsecretariat of Environment and Food Safety, the Sports Directorate, Traffic and Communication departments, and representatives of the Luis María Bettendorff Institute. Registrations remain open online and in person at the Club Atlético Independiente headquarters.
