Mexicali authorities seize 120kg of fentanyl linked to Los Rusos group FAST-MOVING

Mexican federal and state authorities, in coordination with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), seized 120 kilograms of fentanyl pills in Mexicali, Baja California. The operation, which yielded more than 4 million doses, targeted a property in the Hacienda del Bosque neighborhood linked to the criminal group known as ‘Los Rusos’.

Security Secretary Omar García Harfuch confirmed that the raid was the result of intelligence sharing and investigative work. In addition to the synthetic drugs, officials seized a firearm, a magazine, a vehicle, and a quad bike. No arrests were reported during the operation.

Los Rusos’ is identified by authorities as an armed faction of the Sinaloa Cartel, specifically aligned with the ‘Los Mayos’ faction led by Ismael ‘El Mayo’ Zambada. The group is accused of controlling drug trafficking corridors in the region and moving substances including fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, and heroin into the United States.
