Guanajuato Governor announces updates to Tocando Corazones program

Governor Libia Dennise García Muñoz Ledo has announced upcoming changes to the Tocando Corazones program in Guanajuato, aimed at expanding opportunities for civil society organizations and organized groups.

Key updates planned for 2027 include a new submission process where proposals will be accepted throughout the established period without the platform closing early once funds are reached. The program will also shift its evaluation criteria to prioritize social impact, the number of beneficiaries, and organizational capacity rather than focusing solely on the age of the organization.

The program provides financing, training, and support for projects addressing needs such as child and adolescent care, disability services, elderly support, addiction prevention, mental health, education, and nutrition. To ensure transparency, the government maintains a public platform where citizens can monitor project registrations, requested amounts, approval or rejection justifications, and budget execution.
