Guanajuato state social and digital programs

Overview

Governor Libia Dennise García Muñoz Ledo has highlighted various state-led initiatives in Guanajuato focused on social support and digital empowerment.

In late October 2026, the Governor celebrated the 19th anniversary of the Virtual University of the State of Guanajuato (UVEG) by recognizing the “Aliadas Digitales” program. This initiative, part of a broader “Estrategia Aliadas” containing 27 support programs, provides women with technology and entrepreneurship tools. Following the graduation of 250 participants, the state announced 500 additional free spaces for the program.

Additionally, the Governor announced updates to the “Tocando Corazones” program scheduled for 2027. The program, which provides financing and training for civil society organizations addressing needs such as mental health, education, and elderly support, will shift its evaluation criteria to prioritize social impact and organizational capacity. New submission processes will also be implemented to allow proposals to be accepted throughout the established period without the platform closing early once funds are reached.
