Abasolo, Guanajuato plants 100 trees on World Tree Day

On 23 June 2026, the municipal government of Abasolo in Guanajuato organized a reforestation day at the local sports unit to mark the World Tree Day. The event planted 100 trees, including pata de vaca, fresno, mezquite, ciprés, pino michoacano and níspero, as part of the State Program for Strengthening Forest Ecosystems.

Governor Libia Dennise García Muñoz Ledo attended together with municipal president Job Gallardo, state and municipal officials, students from the Nicolás Bravo secondary school and members of the Forest Combatants Brigade. Organisers highlighted the goal of improving local biodiversity, raising environmental awareness and supporting sustainable development in the municipality.
